Be Informed’s CEO, Hugo Ehrnreich, reflects on 2024 and shares his vision for 2025: what we have done, key wins and challenges, and what we expect for the next year.
Strengthening our foundations
2024 was the year of transformation, where we refocused our strategy and laid solid foundations to accelerate growth and deliver even greater value to our customers and partners. The year demanded significant change and dedication from all of us. I’m incredibly grateful to the entire team for their hard work, resilience, and team spirit. Together, we have made significant progress and grown stronger as a more connected and united organization.Key 2024 milestones
This year, we have achieved several critical milestones that have positioned us for continued success:-
- Enhanced Customer and Partner Support: We strengthened our enablement efforts through the Be Informed Academy and introduced the “guide and shadow” methodology to better support our customers and partners.
- RegTech and Compliance Innovations: We launched a new website, introduced the Workbench, a regulatory impact management solution, and took a leading role in Norm Engineering and Regulatory Transformation with partners like TNO, Deloitte, and the Dutch government’s AINed program.
- Public Sector Growth: We expanded our mission to modernize compliance processes for governments, working with the US Federal Government and the Dutch Public Prosecutor to deliver more efficient, citizen- and business-friendly solutions
- Private Sector Breakthroughs: Our International Trade and Transport Solution (ITTS) made strides in helping trade, transport, and logistics businesses meet compliance demands with fully automated, risk-based transaction and entity screening.
Overcoming challenges
2024 was also challenging on a personal level. The unexpected passing away of one of our colleagues early in the year was a great shock to all of us. Later in the year, a colleague got into a serious traffic accident and another was involved in a medical emergency. Thankfully both are now in full recovery. This clearly impacted us all emotionally, as well as adding additional work pressure, but it also showcased the strength of our collective spirit. We supported one another and ensured the organization continued to operate smoothly. I am proud to be part of this connected and resilient team.Our vision for 2025
Looking ahead, 2025 will be about following through, building on and accelerating this momentum. Our focus will be on:- Continuing to drive innovation in AI and Norm Engineering and our broader RegTech and Compliance platform: combining the best-of-both-worlds power of AI with “human-in-the-loop” approaches to bring transformative regulatory solutions to life.
- Further expanding our our footprint and in the USA and helping governments around the world becoming more efficient, citizen- and business-friendly.
- Consolidating our leadership in the area of trade, transport and logistics and helping them bear the increasing burden of compliance in a profitable manner.
- Enhancing customer and partner success: Continued investment in our team, Be Informed Academy, and e-learning to ensure even better enablement and support for our growing community.
